OIL MUNCHER GCPS Oil Separator

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Global Water’s Oil Muncher utilises the difference in specific gravity between two or three immiscible components of the liquid stream for enhanced gravimetric separation.

Oily water influent and suspended solids are introduced into an inlet chamber by means of a heavy duty diaphragm pump. As heavy solids settle out, oil slugs rise immediately to the surface. The remaining oily water mixture flows through a stack of closely spaced, corrugated polypropylene plates where the smaller oil droplets coalesce and rise to the surface, and the fine solids are progressively separated.

Downstream, a baffle or oil dam prevents the collected oil from entering the outlet weir.

Drains are provided in the sludge hopper for the removal of solids, and an oil skimmers for manual or automatic removal of oil.
