Packaged Pumping Systems

Combining many years of expertise in pump hydraulics with a detailing understanding of electrical process controls and mechanical design principles enables Global Water to engineer complete pumping systems.

Features of Global Water’s packaged pumping systems:

  • standardised or turn-key packages available
  • integrated system
  • efficient packages
  • suitable for a wide range of applications

The DrainAce Compact is commonly found in restaurants, basements of high-rise buildings, boardrooms, laboratories, doctor or dental surgeries, construction sites and portable buildings. Units are also available for greasy waste discharge from grease arrestors.

Global Water’s Packaged Pumping Systems are suitable for the following applications:

  • industrial
  • commercial
  • municipal
  • construction
  • mining
  • irrigation
  • agricultural
  • water reuse

The following packaged pump stations are available:

Pressure system packages

Global Water offer pressure system packages providing precision control and constant pressure to eliminate cycling, pressure fluctuations and water hammer to reduce running costs and cyclic fatigue.

There are two generic types of control; Fixed Speed Cascade Control or Variable Speed System.

Single or multiple pump units are combined with pressure tanks, valves, gauges and pressure monitoring equipment, all mounted on a common base frame with inter-connecting pipework manifolds.

Variable Speed Systems

The ultimate performance is obtained by utilising the concept of varying speed of one or more of the pump units to produce a constant, non-pulsating system pressure, highly responsive to varying system requirements.

The process controller operates in conjunction with a digital frequency converter to vary the speed of the lead pump and cut in the other pumps relative to the signal of the pressure transducer. This ensures improvements in hydraulic efficiency, lower power consumption, reduced cycling and accurate tracking of system demand.

Other features of the variable speed system include:

  • friction loss compensation
  • remote status
  • fault monitoring
  • multiple set-point selection
Fixed speed systems

This system incorporates one or more pumps with cascade pressure switch control. The systems can further enhance by a dedicated pump controller fed by one or more pressure transducer with multiple-pump capability.

Typical applications for the fixed speed system include:

  • town water supply
  • processing industry
  • multi-story buildings
  • gold course reticulation
  • subdivision water supply
  • mechanical service

Industrial and commercial systems

These systems are designed and built to meet the highest engineering standards for a wide range of water use, treatment, circulation and disposal applications. Fully automated pumping packages incorporate process controllers built to cater for specific design parameters. These packages are prefabricated with pumps, pipework and valves, with the option of on-board electrical controls and instrumentation to simplify site installation.

Typical applications for industrial and commercial packaged pumping systems include:

  • waste disposal
  • stormwater harvesting
  • batching
  • filtration and treatment
  • cooling systems
  • mixing and blending
  • food processing
  • effluent re-use

 Water treatment systems

Global Water’s water treatment systems are designed and manufactured from standardised components and modular designs to meet specific customer and site requirements. Most important, they are constructed to be compliant with relevant World Health standards and local statutory requirements.

Common applications for Global Water’s water treatment systems include:

  • water disinfection systems
  • sewage and effluent treatment
  • factory waste management
  • wastewater recycling
  • irrigation dosing systems
  • effluent monitoring systems
  • pollution control systems
  • obnoxious odour control

 Fire protection pumps

Global Water offer a specialised range of packaged fire protection systems that comply with all relevant Australian standards. Support services are provided initial engineering assistance through to on-site commissioning. These Fire Protection Pumpsets are available in diesel and electric drive configuration, assembled on a common fabricated base with pipework manifolds, valves and electrical controls to provide a fully automated system.

All pumping system packages are fully tested prior to delivery. This enables operational parameters to be set and the entire system sequence tested under simulated site conditions. It also reduces on-site installation time and ensures trouble-free and reliable operations.
