Polyethylene chamber
DrainAce pump chambers are made from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), a tough and lightweight material with high impact resistance and excellent chemical durability. All models are engineered using FEA modelling and ultrasonic wall testing, ensuring compliance with loading requirements.
Chambers are available in a wide range of sizes – from 175 L to 10,500 L – with varying diameters and depths to suit site-specific needs such as shallow rock installs or deep narrow pits with low inlet levels. Above-ground versions are also available for use in chemical storage, mixing, or emergency containment.
Each chamber is manufactured to strict ISO9001:2015 quality standards and is certified to AS/NZS 1546.1, with Department of Health approvals on applicable models.
Cover options
A wide variety of cover options are available to suit both load requirements and access needs. These include:
- Foam-filled polyethylene covers for non-traffic areas
- Composite resin gas-tight covers rated to 510 kg (AS/NZS 1546.1 compliant)
- Light or heavy-duty cast iron gas-tight covers
- Galvanised steel covers and grates for light or Class D loading
Covers can be selected based on load class, access type and environmental sealing requirements. Some options may require a concrete surround for full load-bearing performance.
