In a recent project, Global Water partnered with Monarch Plumbing Services to supply a robust trade waste pump station tailored for Macro Meats', a high-demand Kangaroo meat processing facility. Designed to withstand chemically aggressive wastewater, the solution enhances operational reliability while minimising maintenance and downtime.
Global Water supplied a complete trade waste pump station to Macro Meats, the world's largest retail distribution of Australian kangaroo and wild game meat. This Envirolift pump station system was specifically engineered to meet Macro Meats' requirements - to safely and effectively handle corrosive wastewater from their manufacturing processes.
The wastewater produced from Macro Meats’ processing facility contains corrosive cleaning chemicals, which pose risks to 'standard' pumping systems. The challenge was to deliver a solution capable of withstanding harsh wastewater conditions while maintaining long-term reliability and minimising maintenance needs.
To meet these requirements, Global Water delivered a corrosion-resistant solution consisting of:
A 3m deep Envirolift Concrete Pump Station: Custom-built for this client, this wastewater pump station features HES cement with a corrosion-resistant additive and calcareous aggregate specifically designed to withstand aggressive environments.
SS316 Stainless Steel Valves: To protect against corrosion and extend service life, all internal valves and pipework were upgraded to durable SS316 stainless steel.
This project-specific Envirolift Pump Station package was designed to ensure longevity, consistent performance, and simplified servicing under demanding wastewater conditions.
The installation of the wastewater pump station has delivered the following key outcomes for Macro Meats:
Operational Reliability:
The corrosion-resistant materials ensure the pump station operates reliably, minimising the risk of premature failures.
Lower Maintenance Demands:
Durable SS316 stainless steel components have extended service intervals and minimises the need for frequent part replacements.
Improved Production Efficiency:
With fewer disruptions, Macro Meats can now maintain a seamless cleaning process, ensure smooth facility operations, and have confidence that wastewater is being safely and effectively removed.
Global Water delivered exactly what we needed for the Macro Meats project. A custom Envirolift pump station was specifically designed to handle our harsh wastewater conditions. With improved operational efficiency, we can now focus on production in complete confidence, knowing our wastewater is being managed effectively and safely. The team at Global's were easy to deal with and understood exactly what we needed.
