PRODUCT INFORMATION

The Volym Precast Concrete Pump Station is Australia’s largest packaged solution for high-capacity wastewater and stormwater applications. Designed for projects that demand durability, emergency storage, and heavy-duty pumping, Volym combines long service life with efficient installation and operation.

Concrete Chamber

The Volym precast modules are engineered for strength and flotation resistance. Their smooth, durable finish ensures longevity, while the optional Sludge-Kill benching provides a self-cleaning sump that improves solids handling and reduces maintenance.

Pumps & Controls

Each Volym station can be configured with up to four submersible pumps, supported by custom-built switchboards and SCADA-ready telemetry. Dedicated access hatches are provided for both pumps and valve chambers, enabling easier maintenance and safe operation.

Features

  • Equivalent capacity to a Ø3800 mm wet well with 11.5 m³ per metre of depth

  • Depths available from 2 to 15 m

  • Constructed from 50 MPa sulphate-resistant concrete with calcareous aggregate for over 50 years of service life

  • One-piece moulded base to eliminate leakage within the working volume

  • Elliptical design (max. 3.5 m width) enables efficient transport without escort requirements

  • Pre-engineered for structural integrity and flotation; compliant with AS3735

  • Optional Sludge-Kill benching for self-cleaning sump performance

  • Can accommodate up to four pumps with access hatches for pumps and valve chambers

  • Faster, safer installation compared to cast in-situ construction

  • Heavy-traffic cover options available
